Hopetech Enduro Race – Women Are Ace!
On the 14th of October Gisburn Trail Centre saw a few hundred women competing together across three enduro stages, through woods, rocks, mud and gigantic puddles. The friendly atmosphere was heated up by the presence of multiple World Cup winner: Tracey Moseley.
Adrenaline rush, speed, muscle aches, challenging terrain, rain, wind and fabulous company was what our local riders – Kasia Breska, Eloise Lindenberg and Rosie Holdsworth were looking for!
The event was designed to accommodate a whole range of skills, from beginners to seriosly advanced riders like Rosie’s, who finished in second position!
An early start allowed us to go for a practice ride and prepare for all the technical and ‘extreme caution’ elements, get to know other riders, drink coffee, eat cakes, get really muddy, wet and happy before the actual race. All stages had an option for those who were less experienced and all of them were packed with features that would make your heart beat faster and your legs burn. All in all it was a challenging but extremely fun event that promoted the sport among women of all ages.
If you ever thought about giving a go with an enduro race, do not hesitate, get a bike and do it!
